We haven’t seen this happening locally, however it seems to be the trend everywhere else. \u00a0Wedding gowns with matching face masks; \u00a0is it really “a thing” now?<\/p>\n

On GMA (Good Morning America), Jacqueline Laurean Yates writes<\/a>, “Face masks have become the standout accessory of 2020 amid the coronavirus pandemic, and now they are taking centre stage at weddings too.”<\/p>\n

On Instagram, designers are showcasing their masks with floral prints, lace overlay and pretty pastel fabrics; Daniela Tabois<\/a>,\u00a0Claire Pettibone<\/a>, Styleista Studio<\/a>, \u00a0\u00a0Mirka Bridal<\/a>, Visually Vee<\/a>, \u00a0and others. \u00a0I did a simple search and got over 2,700 posts with the (hashtag) #WeddingMasks<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In an article by Katie Strick, on\u00a0Evening Standard<\/a>, she writes to dress the part with a BYOM theme.<\/p>\n

“A BYOM (bring your own mask) theme doesn\u2019t have to feel sterile. The silver (or lacy white) lining to enforced face coverings? It\u2019s a chance to get creative. Peckham-based groundworks estimator Ed Ruthven, 26, says his mother made farm-themed masks for guests at his sister\u2019s Sussex wedding last weekend, which was \u201cworth it just for the photos\u201d, while Olszewski-Lewis\u2019s guests are having masks made to match their outfits. Tatler weddings editor Astrid Joss says providing masks for guests is a \u201cthoughtful touch\u201d \u2014 devise your own logo or embroider the bride and groom\u2019s initials on them as a keepsake.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
